THE PK80 PROJECT: Portraits of Canadian Peacekeeping Veterans

In 2028, the Canadian Peacekeeping Veterans Association will commemorate the 80th anniversary of United Nations Peacekeeping. The PK80 Project is an ongoing portrait series honouring the men and women who dedicated themselves to the cause of global peace — one face, one story, one life of service at a time.

As a portrait photographer whose work is built on the belief that every face has a story worth telling, I consider it a profound privilege to be working with the CPVA to document these lives. These are not ceremonial portraits. They are honest, intimate images of people who chose something larger than themselves — and who carry that choice in their faces, their bearing, and their eyes.

The series will continue to grow in the years leading to 2028. Each portrait added is another story preserved.
