ACTOR HEADSHOTS
…that get you the part
Your headshot is doing a job before you walk in the room.
It's telling a casting director whether you're worth their time. It's telling an agent whether you fit their roster. It's telling a production team whether you're the person they've been looking for. All of that happens in a fraction of a second — which means your headshot needs to do more than look professional. It needs to look like you, on your best day, ready for the part.
That's what these sessions are designed to produce.
More Than a Headshot
The difference between a good headshot and a great one isn't technical — it's human. It's whether the image has an interior life. Whether the eyes are doing something. Whether the person in the frame looks like they have a story worth telling.
I work with actors at every stage of their career — from emerging talent building their first portfolio to established professionals refreshing their image for a new chapter. The approach is the same regardless: a genuine conversation before we shoot, intuitive direction during the session, and a relentless focus on capturing the expression that actually represents you rather than the one you think you're supposed to give.
What Casting Directors Actually Want
They want to see range without being told about it. They want authenticity, not performance. They want to look at your headshot and immediately understand who you are and what you bring to a role. A formulaic headshot from a high-volume studio gives them none of that. An image that feels alive — present, specific, honest — gives them everything.
The Practical Details
Every final image is hand-retouched by me personally. Delivery is usually within ten business days with results that work for agency submissions and your personal portfolio.
